Great question! For this hackathon, projects must be newly created after the start of the Submission Period (May 19 - Aug 17, 2026). A project created before that date is not eligible, regardless of whether it was publicly released or not. You’re allowed to reuse pre-existing templates, frameworks, boilerplates, or code, but you must clearly explain how your current project utilizes any pre-existing work in your submission description. You can refer to the rules for a more in depth explanation https://xprize.devpost.com/rules
Pending an answer on credits - Thank you for your patience!
In response to the question on projects being newly created, this means that the business you are building (that operates with AI) should be newly created after the start of the Submission Period (May 19 - Aug 17, 2026). You may reuse pre-existing templates, frameworks, boilerplates, or code, but you must clearly explain how your business opersations/project utilizes any pre-existing work in your submission description. You can refer to the rules for a more in depth explanation https://xprize.devpost.com/rules Best of luck!

Is this only for project that was started at the time of this campaign? or I can join even though I have been working on my project for a month now?

What do you mean by projects should be newly created? You mean the GitHub repo should be initialized after this date?
