    Great question! Per the rules, the hackathon is open to small organizations with fewer than 25 employees that exist and have been organized or incorporated at the time of entry — so an existing organization can participate.

    The key requirement is that the project you submit must be newly created after the start of the Submission Period (May 19, 2026). If pre-existing templates, frameworks, boilerplates, or code was used to build the final project, you must explain how your project utilized that pre-existing work.
